Program Description:
Cardiovascular Grand Rounds is the primary teaching conference for the Division of Cardiology where both cardiovascular disease syndromes and current research in cardiovascular disease is presented. Cardiovascular Grand Rounds meets a specific need both in the community and at the Medical College for further education in cardiovascular disease states. Cardiovascular Grand Rounds as a recurring activity is continually reviewed by the cardiology faculty.

Learning objectives:
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Explain the drivers of small vessel and micro-circulatory dysfunction in patients with acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) and/or cardiogenic shock (CS).
- Summarize management strategies that may help address small vessel and micro-circulatory congestion.
- Discuss the integration of right heart and congestion management into CS management.
- Discuss novel methods for addressing cardiorenal syndrome that are under study and the hypothesized benefits and potential limitations.
