Cardiovascular Grand Rounds is the primary teaching conference for the Division of Cardiology where both cardiovascular disease syndromes and current research in cardiovascular disease is presented. Cardiovascular Grand Rounds meets a specific need both in the community and at the Medical College for further education in cardiovascular disease states. Cardiovascular Grand Rounds as a recurring activity is continually reviewed by the cardiology faculty.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Identify the physiological mechanisms behind menopausal hot flashes.
- Identify the link between menopausal hot flashes and cardiovascular risk, exploring how these symptoms may serve as indicators of heart health in women.
- Examine research findings on the relationship between menopause, hot flashes, and increased cardiovascular disease risk, including potential neurovascular mechanisms underlying this increased cardiovascular risk.
- Recognize the importance of early detection and management of cardiovascular risk in women experiencing menopause, particularly those with severe hot flashes.
- Evaluate treatment options for managing menopausal hot flashes and minimizing cardiovascular risk, including lifestyle changes, pharmacological therapies, and non-hormonal interventions.
- Discuss the role of healthcare providers in assessing cardiovascular risk during menopause and in developing personalized care strategies for women experiencing hot flashes.
