Program Description: 
This educational activity is designed to improve knowledge about research methodologies and techniques for improving patient care and health outcomes. CAPS seminars are also designed to foster collaborations and give researchers a chance to present/obtain feedback regarding health services research.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to answer the following questions:

  • Identify weaknesses in existing literature on the integration of social determinants of health into diabetes interventions
  • Evaluate findings from systematic review nonmedical interventions aimed to reduce risk for and improve outcomes in adults with type 2 diabetes
  • Identify five policy opportunities to take action on social determinants of health in type 2 diabetes
