Program Description: 
This educational activity is designed to improve knowledge about research methodologies and techniques for improving patient care and health outcomes. CAPS seminars are also designed to foster collaborations and give researchers a chance to present/obtain feedback regarding health services research.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to answer the following questions:

  • Review the associations between criminal legal system involvement and diabetes and other chronic diseases
  • Identify the possible mechanisms by which interaction with the criminal legal system may lead to poor chronic disease outcomes
  • Learn about previously tested interventions and understand rationale for proposed interventions
