Program Description: 

This educational activity is designed to improve knowledge about research methodologies and techniques for improving patient care and health outcomes. PCOR seminars are also designed to foster collaborations and give researchers a chance to present/obtain feedback regarding health services research.

American College of Surgeon’s National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) at FMLH Educational Objectives:

  • To describe the NSQIP program and how this differs from other quality improvement programs
  • To discuss how the NSQIP program will be used to improve surgical quality at FMLH
  • To discuss how the national NSQIP dataset has been used in outcomes research
