Program Description: 

The educational series will incorporate evidence based guidelines and resources to address the identified educational gaps.  Those resources will be made available to participants for future use at the end of each education session.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Identify risk factors for dyslexia and symptoms of dyslexia based on age and developmental level
  • List a differential diagnosis for reading concerns
  • Discuss key differences between school identification of Specific Learning Disorder (SLD) vs a medical diagnosis of dyslexia
  • Compare approach to diagnosis and intervene for dyslexia from the school setting versus the medical setting
