Program Description: 

This conference will provider timely updates and medical treatment options for diseases common to our hospital and clinic population.

The Medical College of Wisconsin is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Learning objectives: 

1.  Discuss the definition of the impaired physician with a focus on substance abuse and disruptive behavior.

2.  Identify warning signs of individuals who may be at increased risk for substance abuse.

3.  Identify warning signs of individuals who may be at increased risk for disruptive behavior in the workplace.

4.  Explore the impact of the impaired physician on the health of the provider, their family, patients and the organization in which they work.

5.  Discuss the intervention options for the impaired physician within the Froedtert Health Community Memorial Hospital community.
