Preparing for Mass Casualty Events: Hospital, Law Enforcement and Community Perspectives

Intentional mass casualty events have increased in all communities, including Milwaukee and its suburbs. We would like to disseminate current medical knowledge with regard to best practices in dealing with mass casualty events. Preventable deaths as a result of intentional mass casualty events. Readiness of institutions and communities with regard to resources and personnel required to deal with these situations. Hopefully, we won’t have to prove in reality that we are ready for mass casualty events. However, having hospital workflows and communication between community institutions during these events will need to be created/modified to reflect Hartford consensus criteria and best practices in hospital and community preparedness.
