Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Describe the ability of lung transplant to improve outcomes for those with advanced disease with failure of medical therapy
- Identify the basic principles involved in the lung transplant procedure
- Discuss the importance of candidate selection when dealing with a limited resource- donor organs- what may be best for an individual may not be best for society as a whole
