Weekly conference during academic year (Sept-May) to highlight updates and changes to best practice of internal medicine and its subspecialties.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Improve ability to take thorough patient histories, including queries regarding social disorder
  • Increase medical knowledge about how the social disorder can disproportionately affect the health of racial/ethnic minorities, including those with diabetes
  • Enhance ability to participate in multi-disciplinary rounds/case management rounds because of greater awareness of community resources available to address the issue
