Program Description: 

Weekly conference during academic year (Sept-May) to highlight updates and changes to best practice of internal medicine and its subspecialties.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Identify the deficit of clinical trials conducted in endoscopy and pancreaticobiliary disease relative to other gastroenterology subspecialties
  • Identify reasons for this deficit in scientific rigor
  • Use case examples to illustrate reasons for failures of recent trials in this space
  • Discuss a path forward to increase our ability to conduct successful trials in endoscopy, including training the next generation of trialists optimizing streamlined and pragmatic designs, and establishing collaborative and experienced study groups to optimize funding success.
