Weekly conference during academic year (Sept-May) to highlight updates and changes to best practice of internal medicine and its subspecialties.

  • Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Appreciate the significance of the opioid epidemic in regards to morbidity and mortality
  • Describe the pharmacology of buprenorphine and its different formulations
  • Recognize indications to consider buprenorphine for the management of chronic pain.
  • Describe the evidence for using buprenorphine to treat chronic pain
  • Describe methods for transitioning patients from full agonist opioids to buprenorphine
