Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
 
Physician Preferences for 3D Printed and Virtual Reality Left Atria in Procedural Planning for Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion: A Pilot Study
  • To review the indications and procedural overview of the (Left atrial appendage occlusion) LAAO procedure
  • Describe current preoperative planning methods for LAAO and identify their limitations
  • Evaluate the potential roles of 3D printed models and virtual reality in enhancing preoperative planning and procedural outcomes in electrophysiology

Resident Research Round Table: Advancing Research in Malignant Hematologic and Solid Tumor Malignancies

  • Identify the use of a frailty score to identify patients with multiple myeloma at risk of poor outcomes with autologous stem cell transplant
  • Assessing real-world lenalidomide dosing patterns for older patients with multiple myeloma and the impact of dose reductions on outcomes
  • Exploring the three most common mutations in pancreatic adenocarcinoma and the application of MEK inhibitor-based therapies

The Difficult Patient

  • To use this information to inform practice-based learning and improvement of difficult patient encounters in the inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Identifying sources of difficulty from both the provider side and the patient side prior to a visit or encounter, allowing strategic interviewing and mental preparedness
  • Identifying which element of patient care may contribute most to personal burnout and possibly impact optimal patient care
