Weekly conference during academic year (Sept-May) to highlight updates and changes to best practice of internal medicine and its subspecialties.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Analyze treatment patterns and long-term outcomes of patients with hairy cell leukemia in real-world practice.
  • Evaluate emerging evidence for BRAF inhibitor-based therapies compared with standard-of-care treatment for hairy cell leukemia.
  • Apply knowledge of long-term prematurity-related effects to improve care coordination between pediatric and adult providers.
  • Analyze the impact of prematurity on organ systems across the lifespan and into adulthood.
  • Implement educational strategies to address knowledge gaps regarding the long-term effects of prematurity within medical education curricula. (confirm audience fit)
  • Analyze cardiovascular outcomes associated with BTK inhibitor use in patients with chronic B-cell malignancies.
  • Apply current evidence on cardiovascular risk with BTK inhibitor therapy to inform monitoring and treatment decisions in patients with chronic B-cell malignancies.
