- Describe the growing impact of dementia at the end of life.
- Summarize the history and major trends in hospice care and the Medicare Hospice Benefit as it relates to dementia care.
- Describe patterns of hospice use among people with dementia.
- Critically examine the ideal role of hospice for people with dementia and discuss implications for practice, research, and policy.
