Program Description: 

This educational activity is designed to keep teaching physicians current in their knowledge of all aspects of EM practice and competent in the practical aspects of the specialty of EM to ensure the highest level of teaching to fellows, residents and medical students.

  • Understand the current recommendations with consideration given to pharmacotherapy, imaging modalities, and procedural interventions for both commonly seen and rare patient conditions that present to the Emergency Department   
  • Recognize and effectively discuss patient safety issues and quality improvement principles for purposes of both individual and systems improvement in providing the  highest quality of care in the treatment of ED patients.
