Program Description: 

The goal of this conference is for endocrinologists, endocrine surgeons, endocrine fellows, physician assistants, nurses, dietitians, nurse practitioners, PhD researchers, residents, and students to have a venue to learn a variety of clinical and basic science topics as well as recent benchmarks in the field for the benefit of improving patient care and research on a vast array of topics in Endocrinology.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
• Identify that for many sports and athletic endeavors, biologic males
outperform females for events that involve endurance, strength and muscle
power.
• Identify the magnitude of the sex difference in athletic performance
will vary depending on the requirements of the event, with most differences
emerging at the start of puberty.
• Comprehend the biological and hormonal basis that are the primary predictors of
the sex differences in athletic performance including the role of testosterone.
• Identify that more research is needed on the biological basis of sex
differences across many aspects of physiology.
