Program Description: 

Endocrine Grand rounds is an educational conference based on clinical and basic sciences in Endocrinology at The Medical College of Wisconsin campus and occurs on the 1st Thursdays of each month with a quarterly special feature on obesity and metabolic disease. The goal of this conference is for endocrinologists, endocrine surgeons, endocrine fellows, physician assistants, nurses, dietitians, nurse practitioners, PhD researchers, residents, and students to have a venue to learn a variety of clinical and basic science topics as well as recent benchmarks in the field for the benefit of improving patient care and research on a vast array of topics in Endocrinology.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Understand the pathophysiology of vasomotor symptoms
  • Review absolute risks and benefits of menopausal hormone therapy in younger postmenopausal women
  • Discuss new non hormonal medications for treatment of vasomotor symptoms
