This 60-minute session will give an overview of teaching students and residents how to write and present an effective case report.

  1. Describe the relevance of case reports to learners' education and list barriers to writing and presenting a case report for dissemination
  2. Identify features of a case that make it suitable for dissemination and outline strategies to maximize learners' involvement in authorizing case reports
  3. Share next steps in faculty development around mentoring learner write-up of case reports
