Interactive Updates in the Evaluation and Management of Chronic Idiopathic Diarrhea: Improving Patient Outcomes and Redefining Best Practices
The goal of this educational program is to equip pediatric and adult gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, pediatricians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and
other health care professionals involved in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic idiopathic diarrhea with the up-to-date clinical knowledge and tools they need to best
diagnose and treat their patients.

Target Audience
This activity has been developed and is intended for pediatric and adult gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, pediatricians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other health care professionals involved in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric malabsorption syndromes. An anticipated audience of 175-225 physicians will participate at the satellite symposium.

1. Describe the pathophysiology of chronic idiopathic diarrhea
2. Assess the current diagnostic options for individual patients presenting with chronic idiopathic diarrhea
3. Develop strategies to provide appropriate treatment
4. Identify recent developments in carbohydrate-induced diarrhea diagnosis and treatment that can impact patient quality-of-life outcomes
