Program Description: 

This CME program addresses gaps in medical knowledge and best practices with regards to the clinical practice of internal medicine and teaching learners the discipline of internal medicine. These conferences update the audience with new findings and best practices to match current understanding in the field of internal medicine so that our faculty are knowledgeable, competent, and practice patient care of value to the patient.

Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Review current trends in overall survival rates, risk factors, and disease classification in adult AML patients
  • Identify recent advancements in AML treatment options, including chemotherapy regimens and targeted therapies. Indications for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation will also be discussed
  • Equip themselves with practical insights into prognosis and potential management strategies for adults diagnosed with AM
