Program Description: 

This CME program addresses gaps in medical knowledge and best practices with regards to the clinical practice of internal medicine and teaching learners the discipline of internal medicine. These conferences update the audience with new findings and best practices to match current understanding in the field of internal medicine so that our faculty are knowledgeable, competent, and practice patient care of value to the patient.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Develop an understanding of the Inpatient Consultation-Liaison (IP CL) Health Psychology role and scope of practice (and differences between CL Health Psychology, CL Psychiatry, and other IP consult Psychology services)
  • Learn how IP CL Health Psychology service can assist in the treatment and care of patients while admitted
  • Learn how to place consults to IP CL Health Psychology
