Program Description: 

This CME activity addresses gaps in medical knowledge and best practices with regards to the clinical practice of internal medicine and teaching learners the discipline of internal medicine. These conferences update the audience with new findings and best practices to match current understanding in the field of internal medicine so that our faculty are knowledgeable, competent, and practice patient care of value to the patient.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Discuss the role of kidney and bladder ultrasound in acute kidney injury
  • Discuss the key components of sonographic evaluation in hemodynamic acute kidney injury
  • Integrate information gleaned from point of care ultrasound with conventional parameters to formulate a management plan in acute kidney injury
