Program Description:

The field of Infectious Disease is unique in medicine. Each continent, each country, and even with countries; the types of diseases and disease presentation can vary. Along with that, there is a wide variety of approaches in how to treat particular disease processes. Given then breadth of the infectious diseases, it is quite difficult for an ordinary provider to stay current and abreast of the literature for each of these processes. Thus, it is prudent to have a venue for education and discussion. Further, it is a requirement by the American Medical Association to remain aware of advances in the field for continued board certification.
