Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Distinguish drug-resistant epilepsy from other epilepsy presentations and compare appropriate surgical approaches for treatment in adult and pediatric patients.
- Select and justify appropriate ancillary diagnostic tests (neuroimaging, electrophysiology, neuropsychology/language testing) to inform surgical decision-making for patients with drug-resistant epilepsy.
- Formulate consensus surgical recommendations for individual patients with drug-resistant epilepsy during multi-disciplinary case conference discussions.
