Fourth Annual Advances in Musculoskeletal Oncology

This day-long educational symposium is designed to provide updates on the advancements in treating musculoskeletal oncologic disorders. The intended audience is practicing general and orthopaedic surgeons, radiation and medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, mid-level providers and residents who would like to improve their knowledge and skills in caring for patients with musculoskeletal oncology issues. The symposium will include lectures, expert panel discussions, and case based discussions. Learners will have an opportunity to interact with faculty and ask questions relevant to their own practice and learning.

Target Audience

This symposium is designed to provide updates on the advancements in treating musculoskeletal oncologic disorders to improve knowledge and skills in caring for patients. The intended audience incudes:

  • Orthopaedic and General Surgeons
  • Radiation Oncologists
  • Medical Oncologists
  • Radiologists and Interventional Radiologists
  • Physician Assistants
  • Nurse Practitioners

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, I will be able to:

  1. Recognize the importance of the multidisciplinary approach to the care of musculoskeletal oncology patients
  2. Provide updates on the current clinical practice in musculoskeletal oncology
  3. Provide updates on clinical trials in musculoskeletal oncology
  4. Acquire an awareness of the minimally invasive options for patients with metastatic bone disease
  5. Assess emerging data and technical information regarding changes and progress in the management of major forms of musculoskeletal oncology
  6. Assess the significance of new musculoskeletal oncology approached and technologies for the treatment of various patients
