This CE activity is designed to change clinician competence and performance in applying evidence-based assessment and intervention practices for pediatric mental health conditions. Regarding competence, participants will acquire and deepen their knowledge of validated screening and diagnostic tools (e.g., standardized measures for ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and feeding disorders), current evidence-based psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic treatment guidelines, and structured risk assessment and safety planning frameworks. Regarding performance, the series will provide practical, case-based learning experiences and clinical demonstrations that equip clinicians with immediately implementable strategies for their day-to-day practice. Regarding patient outcomes, improvements in clinician knowledge, competence, and performance are expected to lead to earlier identification of mental health conditions, more accurate diagnosis, more effective and coordinated treatment, and reduction in safety-related adverse events among pediatric patients served by Children’s Wisconsin.
