The Purpose of this conference is to provide attendees with access to cutting edge clinical and basic science research in the fields of clinical nephrology and transplantation, renal physiology and pharmacology, and renal pathology and immunology.

At the conclusion of this activity, I will be able to:
1) understanding the hetergenous stock rat as a potential model for renal injury and its phenotypes
2) illustrating that genetics likely play a role in differential renal injury and subsequent clinical application
3) using the genetic model of the hetergenous stock rat in an attempt to further pinpoint genetic risk for ischemia reperfusion injury
