Program Description: 
The series focuses on outcomes research in chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease, delivery of care in dialysis units and chronic kidney disease clinics, emerging data on new treatments compared to current standard of care, continuing review of kidney biopsy pathology, and basic science research that may become future therapeutics.

Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Develop a prioritized differential diagnosis for interstitial inflammation in a native kidney biopsy in a patient with an oncologic history.
  • Describe the features of interstitial nephritis in terms of its histopathologic pattern of injury.
  • Identify clinical scenarios thought to cause de novo thrombotic microangiopathies in the renal allograft.
  • Verify the features of thrombotic microangiopathy in terms of its histologic pattern of injury.
