Program Description: 

This conference focuses on outcomes research in chronic kidney disease and end-stage kidney disease, delivery of care in dialysis units and chronic kidney disease clinics, emerging data on new treatments compared to current standard fo care, review of kidney pathology, and basic science research that may become future therapeutics.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Apply risk‑stratified pre‑transplant evaluation criteria for patients with multiple myeloma being considered for kidney transplantation.
  • Develop evidence‑based management plans for patients with multiple myeloma after kidney transplantation.
  • Evaluate the use of non‑invasive surveillance methods to monitor immunosuppression and detect malignancy in kidney transplant recipients with multiple myeloma.
