2018 MCW Spine Research Day
MCW Spine Research Day will be a one day CE course reviewing relevant spine related research in a variety of areas as well as reviews of relevant clinical practice guidelines. The day will be made up of several presentations from a variety of professions. Some topics cover treatment options that do not fall within the scope practice of for a chiropractor however part of clinical practice is understanding the utility of other treatment options and when a referral may be appropriate to provide a patient with more comprehensive treatment options. This event will highlight recent research in the areas of spinal biomechanics, spinal imaging and cervical spine injury during concussion, as well as review best practices and recent guidelines for treatment of spine related disorders as it relates to injections, non-surgical treatment guidelines, imaging of the spine in spine related disorders, spine injections, pregnancy related back pain, surgical options for radiculopathy, spinal cord stimulators, and cervical spine involvement in concussion patients. This will be done through a series of lectures. Following the symposium attendees will fill out a survey regarding their experience at the event.
