  1. Understand the cognitive processes underlying naming a picture and naming in response to a verbal description.
  2. Examine naming ability in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy and aphasia.
  3. Evaluate how surgical resections and vascular lesions disrupt naming and identify critical nodes within the language network that support naming ability.
