Improving Outcomes: Practical Asthma Management (PAM) 2016
This conference will provide a clinical update on the NIH asthma guidelines, strategies for incorporating clinical pathways and decision tools into the EMR and case-based discussions.
Asthma cannot be cured, but can be controlled with proper management. While asthma is multifaceted, clinical management plays a primary role. Asthma remains the number one reason for asthma hospitalizations at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
The goal of this meeting is to bring primary care prescribing clinicians up to date on the guidelines, encourage the use of clinical support tools in EMR to aid in diagnosis and management and increase the level of comfort for prescribing clinicians to properly manage asthma patients.
