2018 Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM) 62nd Annual Conference
Participants in this conference will be exposed to evolving concepts incorporated in the Five Pillars of the Decade of Action for road safety established by the U.N. General Assembly, relating to vehicular trauma. They should be able to communicate contemporary thinking in vehicular safety, international considerations in infrastructure, current concepts in driver behavior, and trauma evaluation and treatment. They will further be able to apply these principles within their local environments, including suggestion of trauma patterns, means of reducing injuries due to driver behavior, and present goals for injury reduction.
Target Audience
The program is intended for emergency physicians and nurses, orthopedic surgeons, trauma surgeons, neurosurgeons, radiologists, physiatrist, urologists, emergency medical personnel, biomechanics and vehicle design engineers, automotive engineers, crash investigators, health policy specialists, internists, psychologists, epidemiologists, other human factor specialists, accident reconstructionists and road safety experts as well as other clinicians and allied health professionals, representatives from the insurance industry and automotive engineering professionals.
