3rd Annual: Advances in Neurology for the Practicing Provider
The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Neurology is sponsoring its 3rd annual continuing education program designed for the primary care providers and general neurologists in the community as well as nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents, fellows and students.
The program “3rd Annual: Advances in Neurology for the Practicing Provider” will be held at the Medical College of Wisconsin's Alumni Center. We are offering 9.25 CME credits for physicians and allied health professionals. Course fees will be modest to cover costs, including providing a box lunch to be enjoyed while listening to our keynote speaker, Brian-Fred Fitzsimmons, MD, Associate Professor and Chairman of Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
The topics will be approached from an approach of several providers sharing their respective insights in the disorders and their treatments with a focus on individual cases and treatment situations. The lectures will lead the community practitioners through the approach that specialists in each area would take to assessing the patient, ordering diagnostic testing, determining decision points for referral and presenting evidence-based therapeutic recommendations suitable for the community setting. Ample time for participation from the audience will be provided to discuss individual topical issues.
