Together for Children 2021

The purpose of the 2021 Together for Children conference is to improve prevention, treatment, investigation and prosecution of child abuse and neglect by providing knowledge and skills to address emerging issues, research questions and public policy changes in child welfare and child protection.

  • Law enforcement officials Medical and health professionals – including SANE        
  • Nurses and nurse practitioners

  • Social workers, therapists and psychologists
  • Foster care workers and parents
  • Anyone interested in child abuse prevention

 

 

 

Learning Objectives

  • List practical strategies to improve accurate detection of and responses to child maltreatment and domestic violence
  • Employ strategies to help families that are trauma-informed and sensitive to social determinants of health
  • Describe self-care strategies that can improve resilience of the workforce
