Introduction to Precision Medicine (PM) will introduce learners to the value of Precision Medicine and provide an overview of PM concepts.

Course Director Bio: John Meurer, MD, MBA, is Professor of Community Health and General Pediatrics and Director of the MCW Institute for Health & Equity. He directs the Precision Medicine Education program for IHE and the Genomic Science and Precision Medicine Center. He co-directs the Health System and Management pathway course for medical students and directs population health management and policy courses in the MPH program. With NIH support, Dr Meurer leads the Fight COVID MKE epidemiology study and translational research workforce development and team science for the Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin. With CDC support, he studies the impact of state Medicaid expansion on diabetes outcomes. With MCW Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin support, he leads community-engaged research and systems improvement in early childhood development in Milwaukee and across Wisconsin.
