Social Determinants of Health

Overview

For this study, you will be observing and reviewing case-based continuing medical education (CB CME) activities that are accredited by the Office of Continuing and Professional Development. You need to complete the online training in EthosCE prior to observing and rating these activities. The online training will give you background knowledge on social determinants of health (SDoH). You will also practice using the survey tool in Qualtrics.

A few notes:

  • You may need to download the files to view documents.
  • It should take approximately 30 minutes to go through the content portion of the training. This includes 2 short videos, an article and PowerPoint presentation.
  • When finished with the content portion, you will read 6 case studies and complete a Qualtrics survey, rating which of the social determinants impacted the patients in each case. You will complete 6 surveys, one for each case.
