Program Description: 

The CVICU Case Review series is a confidential interprofessional forum to review cases of interest to the CVICU care team, with an emphasis on patient safety, quality improvement, and education.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Describe several different criteria to formally diagnose brain death according to Froedtert policies. 
  • List clinical and imaging criteria suggestive of brain death. 
  • Describe common exam and imaging findings in neurologically injured patients and appreciate their prognostic value
