The Neoplastic Appendix: When to Watch, When to Act, When to Refer
This CME activity provides non-specialist providers with a structured, evidence-informed approach to diagnosing and managing appendiceal neoplasms. With incidence rising and diagnostic pitfalls common, clinicians across primary care, emergency medicine, radiology, and general surgery increasingly encounter these complex cases.
Led by Dr. Ugwuji N. Maduekwe, this virtual program equips learners to recognize key clinical, laboratory, and radiographic findings; apply a practical Watch, Act, Refer framework; and coordinate care effectively with surgical and oncologic colleagues. Case-based examples, imaging pearls, and patient advocacy perspectives reinforce best practices for diagnosis, surveillance, intervention, and referral.
Target Audience
For Physicians & Advanced Practice Providers in Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, and Radiology
