Midwest Neuropsychology Group Annual Meeting

The goal of this event is to enhance participants' knowledge, skills, and understanding of the latest advancements and challenges in the field of neuropsychology. Led by experts in the field, this meeting will provide a platform for attendees to delve into the current state of the science regarding the impact of the COVID-19 global health crisis on the neuropsychological functioning in adult and pediatric populations. In addition, through case studies, discussions, and presentations, the event will address the application of precision-based neuropsychological tools for intra-operative cognitive testing and patient-centered acute care and cognitive rehabilitation. Participants will gain best practice knowledge for optimizing these tools in diverse clinical settings.
 
The event also will include discussions and workshops on the ethical and practical implications of incorporating technology and artificial intelligence into clinical practice and leveraging large data sets to benefit neuropsychological practice and clinical research. Considerations of health equity will be woven through presentations. Finally, there will be a poster session where learners and professionals can demonstrate and discuss developing ideas and projects across broad neuropsychological topics. Overall, this event serves as a dynamic platform for professionals and learners in neuropsychology to demonstrate and engage in cutting-edge research, exchange ideas, and collaboratively explore best practices. The speakers selected have led clinical efforts, published articles, and are all considered experts in the field on these topics. By meeting these specific learning goals, the event aims to advance the field of neuropsychology across the lifespan, equipping professionals and learners with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of contemporary practice and contribute to ongoing advancements in patient care. this will serve to benefit the health of individuals across Wisconsin.
