Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Name specific beliefs, attitudes, and norms embedded in medical culture that shape physician behavior, often without our conscious awareness.
- Reflect honestly on moments in their own training or practice where the culture of medicine influenced them in ways that fell short of the physician they intended to be.
- Identify key lessons learned from developing and teaching The Good Doctor course including what worked, what didn’t and what student data revealed, and identify one concrete recommendation toward integrating virtue ethics into their own curriculum or practice.
