14035 "Morbidity and Mortality" May 21, 2014

Milwaukee, WI US
May 21, 2014

This educational activity is designed to cover all the major aspects of the practice of obstetrics and gynecology with a series of learning activities in a two year cycle. The speakers are invited to present at one of three sites on a Wednesday morning from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The formats of the learning activities include lectures, case-based discussions, interactive sessions using audience response systems, small group and problem based learning modules and hands-on training workshops. The learners are medical students, obstetrics and gynecology residents, fellow and attending staff and community physicians.

The practice of obstetrics and gynecology is rapidly evolving and there is constant need to change one’s practice to be compliant with standards of care considered acceptable by national organizations of medical practice such as the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Society of Maternal and Fetal Medicine, and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. Obstetricians and gynecologists are one of the medical specialists most commonly involved in medical malpractice litigation and awareness and practice of clinical standards is essential to limit litigation.
