16th Annual Women's Health Conference

This educational activity is designed to provide up to date information in various aspects of the office practice in Women’s Health. As the academic presence in Women’s Health in the Community, we feel it is important for us to provide this educational opportunity to providers of women’s health care in the community and the region. Specifically, this conference will provide education on the following topics: age related infertility, sleep disorders in women, cardiovascular health in women, health literacy, social media in clinical practice, and osteoporosis. We will also provide the most up to date guidelines and best practices for long acting reversible contraception and Pap Screening. Lastly, we would like to review of the literature that has already been published about pregnancy and discuss specific guidelines providers give to their obstetric patients and what the literature states and what the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) states as well.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for practitioners in OB/GYN and in primary care who provide care for women.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss the impact of cardiac disease, disordered sleep, and osteoporosis and management on the general health of women
  • Explain the updates in the general guidelines of Pap screening for cervical cancer
  • Analyze the most utilized forms of long acting contraception and their indications
  • Examine the clinical evidence for current recommendations on optimizing healthy pregnancy
  • Understand the application of social media and health literacy in clinical medical practice
  • Review and recognize age related declines in women’s fertility and available treatment options
