Abstract:
The faculty of the MCW Division of Biostatistics present a yearly statistical lecture series targeted at basic and clinical investigators. The series provides an introduction to statistical techniques and concepts used in medical research; a wide range of topics are included. Lectures are on Fridays throughout the Fall and Spring semesters.

Overall: To provide clinicians and researchers with tools to understand statistical methodology used in published papers and help them effectively communicate with statisticians about research projects.

- Introduce commonly used statistical methodology.
- Describe a variety of research design.
- Illustrate benefits of careful statistical analysis.
- Provide a forum for questions.
