Program Description: 

A presentation on the work of the Himalayan Cataract Project in Ghana over the last several years, including a 5 year plan to reduce the backlog of cataract blindness and develop a sustainable national cataract outreach program.  We will discuss the tremendous personal and societal impacts of cataract blindness as well as the impact of sight-restoring cataract surgery.  We will cover progress made, lessons learned, and future directions.
