Program Description:

Critical evaluation of the data from several clinical trials now enable us to calculate the risk of glaucoma progression and chance of visual field recovery as a function of IOP and stage of disease, and favor achieving low normal IOP’s.  Newer glaucoma operations with apparently lower complication rates than the current gold standard are being evaluated for efficacy, safety, and quality of life, and may even vie for being the primary treatment option.
