Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Evaluate patients with visual complaints and identify clinical scenarios in which visual dysfunction may be present despite normal visual acuity and an otherwise unremarkable ocular examination.
  • Differentiate the clinical features of cortical visual impairment, visual snow syndrome, and functional visual disorders to inform diagnostic evaluation and referral decisions
  • Apply patient-centered counseling strategies to validate symptoms, address the functional impact of vision loss with preserved visual acuity, and support patient management.
