- The learner will describe advances in education methodology for undergraduate medical education.
- The preceptor will explain the key features of a longitudinal integrated curriculum (LIC).
- The preceptor will explain the benefits of a LIC to the student, preceptor and society as a whole.
- The preceptor will understand the rotation schedule for their discipline and its benefits for student learning retention.
- The preceptor will understand the LCME requirements for clerkships and role of the preceptor in meeting those requirements.

- Learners will be able to identify and discuss the limitations of the current MSPE perceived by residency program directors.

- Preceptors will understand the impact of their student evaluation comments on the MSPE by comparing and contrasting examples of stronger and weaker preceptor comments.
- Preceptors will learn to complete competency-based student assessment forms to optimize the preceptor contribution to MCW-CW student medical student performance evaluations.
- The learner will identify key characteristics of formative and summative assessments.
- The learner will distinguish between information appropriate for formative assessments vs. information appropriate for summative assessments.
- The learner will practice writing formative and summative assessments with the aid of templates.
- Given their personal experience, LIC students will provide constructive feedback to preceptors to improve future learning.
