Program Description:
This multidisciplinary care discussion focuses on children with brain and spine tumors where each specialist shares updated knowledge and experience through case discussion.. The tumor board is open to anyone involved with the care of patients with CNS tumors and in the coordination of complex care. The CNS tumor group receives referrals from other providers for concern with possible diagnosis of CNS tumors, request of CNS imaging review from oncology/non-oncology providers at Children’s Wisconsin and outside institutions. We discuss and communicate with the providers during the tumor board.

Learning objectives:
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Engage in clinical discussions of CNS (Central Nervous System) tumors to develop a coordination of care plan for pediatric patients with brain and spine tumors.
- Discuss the treatment options for patients with CNS tumors and provide/share recommendations based on the safety and efficacy.
- Ensure seamless communication with involved providers and coordination of care.
